Feeding Your Cat

Feeding your cat is, of course, one of the most basic things you do to take care of him. Cat nutrition is an important part of health. If you want your cat to be energetic and happy, you need to feed her well. Whether you choose organic cat food, premium cat food like Science Diet or a more mainstream brand like Purina, your choice should reflect some knowledge of what food is best for your cat. If you have a kitten, you will need to give her kitten food. Adult cat food is for cats between the ages of 1 and about 8 years. Older cats should be fed a senior diet. If your cat has a special health problem like diabetes or food allergies, you need to keep that in mind when choosing his or her food. And, of course, don't forget an occasional cat treat. You may even want to learn a cat food recipe or two that you can make yourself.
